Priwall by mePrism, an independent United States enterprise data-removal company, today published the findings of an independent AICPA AT-C Section 215 agreed-upon procedures engagement performed by Sensiba LLP, a Certified B Corp CPA firm. Across a representative sample of Priwall’s enterprise customers, Sensiba independently calculated a 90-day removal rate greater than 99%, a 30-day removal rate greater than 92%, and a median time to first confirmed removal of 4 days.
Sensiba also isolated the same people-search brokers used in Consumer Reports’ August 2024 Data Defense study — a study in which the paid-service average was 35% of listings removed at four months, with no service exceeding 68%. On that subset, Priwall reached 100% confirmed removal at 90 days on 11 of the 12 remaining sites, with the twelfth site slightly below 100%. Of the 13 people-search brokers Consumer Reports tested in its August 2024 Data Defense study, 12 remain operational; Dataveria has since gone offline. Priwall by mePrism was not part of the Consumer Reports study; the CR-13 subset published today allows a like-for-like site comparison on the same brokers.
The verified figures published today are:
- Greater than 92% removal at 30 days, broad enterprise cohort.
- Greater than 99% removal at 90 days, broad enterprise cohort.
- 100% confirmed removal within 90 days on 11 of the 12 remaining Consumer Reports 2024 people-search brokers, with the twelfth site slightly below 100%.
- 4 days median time to first confirmed removal.
The Consumer Reports subset was calculated at 90 days only; there is no 30-day figure for that subset.
Why an AICPA engagement
“Enterprise buyers deserve to see the evidence class behind a number, not just the number,” said Tom Daly, founder and CEO of Priwall by mePrism. “AICPA AT-C 215 is the standard for engagements where a CPA firm performs specified procedures and reports factual findings. It is the right instrument for a discrete outcome question like ‘what removal rate did this service achieve?’ — and the wrong instrument for anything else. It is not an opinion, it is not a certification, and it is not a prediction. It is Sensiba LLP running the numbers we publish, on our data, under a defined procedure.”
The engagement covered five procedures: a walkthrough of Priwall’s Confirmator, the internal tool that verifies whether a broker page still contains a subject’s personal information after a removal request; a 25-record independent source-and-broker sample, in which Sensiba queried broker pages directly and compared what it observed to Priwall’s records; independent calculation of the 30-day and 90-day removal rates against the raw removal-tracking dataset; independent calculation of the median time to first confirmed removal; and a 90-day recalculation isolated to the Consumer Reports 2024 people-search cohort.
How the evidence class compares
The data-removal category rests largely on vendor self-reported numbers and a small number of journalistic tests. Process attestations exist — Incogni published a Deloitte Lietuva UAB ISAE 3000 (Revised) independent limited assurance report in August 2025 covering broker coverage, request cadence, and requests processed — but a process attestation does not calculate a customer-record removal-rate outcome. Priwall by mePrism separately maintains SOC 2 Type 2, which addresses security controls. The AICPA AT-C 215 engagement addresses defined removal-rate calculations. They answer different questions.
What the engagement does not cover
Individual and consumer accounts are outside the population in scope. The engagement covers Priwall’s enterprise customers only. Sensiba LLP evaluated the defined removal-rate calculations only. It did not evaluate data security, SOC 2 controls, pricing, or service-level performance in this engagement. The findings are a point-in-time snapshot and are not a prediction of future performance. The practitioner report is not an endorsement.
