ONDEX Automation today announced the acquisition of ROI Engineering, a control systems integrator based in Laguna Hills, California. This is ONDEX’s seventh acquisition since April 2024 and expands the company’s process controls capabilities while establishing a West Coast presence to better serve customers across the western United States.

Founded in 2002, ROI Engineering provides control system integration, engineering, consulting, and technical services across a range of process industries, with particular depth in food & beverage and petrochemicals. The company is especially well known for its process controls expertise in commercial baking operations, where it has spent years designing, programming, and supporting the automated systems behind high-volume production lines for some of the leading bakery producers in North America.

The acquisition strengthens ONDEX’s process automation platform with an experienced engineering team specializing in PLC programming, SCADA and HMI development, and turnkey system integration. It also extends ONDEX’s geographic reach into California and the broader West Coast – a market where a number of ONDEX’s existing customers operate significant manufacturing facilities.
