Daniel Barake as Executive Vice President of Retail Banking
In his expanded role, Daniel will oversee Retail Banking products, Operations & Customer Service, Marketing & Communications, Data Analytics and Strategic Planning. He will lead the Bank’s retail banking strategy and product innovation while driving initiatives that strengthen awareness of Pibank and its “Easy as Pie” brand promise, deepen customer engagement, enhance operational performance, and deliver a seamless, personalized digital banking experience. His leadership will also help guide the Bank’s long-term strategic planning and leverage data-driven insights to identify new opportunities for growth, supporting Pibank’s continued expansion while maintaining the personalized service customers have come to expect.
Daniel has over 25 years of leadership experience across global biochemical and financial institutions. Prior to joining Pibank, he spent over a decade at Citibank, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, including Transformation Program Principal and Wealth Management Strategy & Business Manager. During his tenure, he led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, delivered operational efficiencies through process automation, and helped shape digital investing and wealth platforms for U.S. and international markets.
He also has a strong track record of building high-performing teams, leading cross-functional organizations, and executing large-scale strategic initiatives across banking, investment services, and client development. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles spanning business development, global client strategy, and international banking partnerships across Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
